Understanding EMDRAA accreditation
The EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA) offers a recognised accreditation pathway for therapists who have completed EMDR training.
Level I — EMDRAA Practitioner
Requires completion of EMDRAA-approved EMDR training plus a specified number of consultation hours with an Accredited Consultant. Consult the EMDRAA website for current requirements.
Consultation hour requirements
EMDRAA accreditation requires a set number of consultation hours with an Accredited Consultant. Individual and group consultation hours are counted differently — check EMDRAA requirements for specifics.
Telehealth consultation counts
Consultation hours undertaken via telehealth are recognised by EMDRAA for accreditation purposes, making Carmel's services accessible to therapists anywhere in Australia.
